our troops and wish them a safe and speedy return.
Registration forms are widely available, and can be obtained at county board of elections, libraries, high schools, and through other organizations. You may also register when you apply for a NC drivers license.
Voter registration deadline for the General Election is: October 12, 2007. This year for the first time, you can register to vote at either of the early-voting locations listed below, but you must vote during that visit.
What ID's you need to have to register and vote on same day.

Pitt County Municipal elections are nonpartisan and held in odd numbered years.
Any voter may elect to vote via absentee ballot.
To obtain a ballot, a request must either be made in person or by mail either by yourself or an immediate relative.
Absentee Mailouts: 10/7/2007 8:00:00 AM until 10/30/2007 5:00:00 PM
Absentee ballots must be received by mail, commercial courier service or in person by 5:00 pm on the day before the election (any primary or election).
One-Stop No-Excuse Early Voting
Dates: October 18, 2007, and will continue through November 3, 2007.
Locations are: The Pitt County Agriculture Extension Office located off of Old Creek Road, at 403 Government Circle, near the Health Department, and The Community Schools Building, 4561 County Home Road.
The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and Saturday, November 3, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
On Election Day
go to your regular precinct polling place from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM to cast your ballot.
